Christine Lola’ s is our new Yoga instructor!
Christine is 65 years old and has taught yoga for over 30 years. She has been trained in the traditions of Iyengar, Hatha, Desikachar and Power Yoga.
She has worked for major hotel chains worldwide, the Hyatt, Hilton and Sheraton – both as Yoga teacher and presenter at conferences on health, stress management and yoga for the workplace. She was also employed at the only Versace Hotel, situated on the Gold Coast; teaching Yoga, stress release and health management.
Christine has provided stress release and office yoga programs for individuals and firms. She has also trained sports teams, golfers, basketballers and individual athletes; pregnancy; therapy and rehabilitation programs for elderly.
While living in Queensland, Christine taught yoga for the University of the Third Age and instigated programs in retirement villages, to assist those with degenerative diseases. She also established courses at private and public schools for physical education and as an adjunct to learning and stress release; as well as programs for posture and deportment.
Christine draws from various streams of Yoga philosophy, aiming to help all students reach their full potential physically, emotionally and mentally. With her hands on approach, her classes are an uplifting experience.
Christine’s Meditation and Relaxation CD ” Peace is Every Breath” has sold worldwide.
Christine was a co-presenter at the 2002 Australian and New Zealand Psychiatric Conference on the subject of ” Yoga as an adjunct to psychiatric treatment”.
While living in Athens from April 2003 until May 2007, Christine was involved with teaching classes and training teachers at the Greek Asana Yoga School; and teaching yoga at the sport academy, Hilton Hotel Athens.
